Nokia News
Mercedes-Benz have finally located the problem.
It was my Sim Card. or more accurately Nokia telephones need a fourth generation sim card, and preferably 'flashed' with at least 5.52 software????
So, all credit to Mercedes-Benz for sorting out this niggling problem because since putting in the new sim card the telephone has performed faultlessly.
4th Generation Sim Card
5.52 Software

Cool and windy Torquay
do you have any idea if MB is going to release a newer phone than the 6310i? I have been using it for a very long time now but was hoping on something smaller.

You'll be a happy chappy John. It's strange how it is always the simplest things to fix that take much longer to diagnose.

Totally agree, the telephone worked perfectly when it was not in the vehicle and I am impressed that Mercedes-Benz managed to figure out this very annoying minor niggle.
The dealership have been excellent and the car is now a credit to the marque. (touch wood)
Bye for now,

Is this the fix we have been waiting for with the motorola v60s in the US?
The Nokia phone was NOT the problem, the hands free set just required a fourth generation sim card or newer.
There is certainly no harm in checking that your mobile telephone has the latest generation sim card and is flashed with the latest software upgrade.
Good luck,
John
