Does anybody have extra white engine filters?
I have 2009 e350 sport AMG
when I went to change the engine filters I found 2 extra filters that look for pollen or something!
Theyare located before the air intake and after the regular paper filters!
Does ny body have seen these or know what they are? Do I need to clean them or change them?
They don’t come out...
Thanks

Those are charcoal filters and that's pretty much how they look. You can take them out to make the engine breathe a bit better.
I took them out of my E63 and haven't had any issues. Some people have said they got a CEL afterwards though.

If your vehicle is PZEV (code 917) air cleaner housing may be covered under 15 year/150,000 mile emission warranty depending on your location.
