C63 mufflers w211 e63 query

I have come across w204 c63 rear mufflers which are from the factory 2.5inch piping.

the factory piping on my w211 e63 is 2.75 all around including mufflers.

i had my rear w211 e63 mufflers cut off and i had the c63 mufflers welded onto my system..

upon installing them the exhaust is a bit louder whie cruising and throatier when on on full throttle.

i am not sure if it is a brain trick.

but even though my car is a louder. It seems to feel slower and less torquier.. ( could be placebo affect )

could it be that the rear c63 mufflers were 2.5 inch inch opening..instead of 2.75inch ooening e63 mufflers

which could possibly cause this, or would make no difference a sonly the rear muffler was changed?

You're not going to really see any performance difference by changing mufflers. C63 mufflers are a bit louder than the E63 ones. It's all in your head IMO.

I just thought maybe the 2.75 pipe going into 2.5 opening of rear muffler could have hindered the performance and flow of the exhaust system.
i know there will be no performance gain.
just doesnt feel as fast.

Totally agree. Those damn headbolts restricting the engine by so many horsepower. It's just stupid!
