E320 CDI supplemental heater?

I was reading the E320 online manual (German MB site), and there was a mention of an optional supplemental heater. Do we have this on the US models?

The Webasto website description:

Vehicle owners with modern direct-injection diesel engines used to have to make some concessions to heating comfort. Diesel engines are so highly efficient that they produce very little extra heat. For outstanding cabin comfort, the Webasto fuel-driven supplementary heater is the perfect solution

according to my owners manual there is a supplemental heater,

see page 183 of your manual

on page Page 407 in the tecnical terms it says
"provides for additional heat in the vehicle interior in vehicle models with diesel engines"
on page 408
PTC Heating Element

( P ositive T emperature C oefficent)

Electronic componet that warms up quickly as electricity is supplied to it and is used as a ->heater booster system in diesel vehicles.

Read the manual its all in there

I don't pick up my car until 8/30/04. On the online manual, there is an asterix after the heading....meaning it is an option in Germany. My question is "Can anyone confirm if the supplemental/booster heater is included as standard equipment in US models?"

it wasn't an option on my car, so as far as I know it's standard, I'm in the US

I'm under the impression that it's standard in the US. Guess I'll have to wait for the first cold day this fall to know for sure...
