I have fault with the airmation (surprise ) Well.. i have very hard drive condition , got my scanner on an got a fault Y54 right rear damper valve unit - Y54y1 right rear solonoid valve 1 : open Circuit.
And if i am correct that is the rear right strut and not the airbellow.? ..
But i got another problem with the LEFT rear is almost touching the ground after 2 days still stand.. Got none error on that side? Do you guys think the left airbellow can be the problem or the valve unit? When i start the left airbellow get filled up again '
Rear y53 = left side (shown), 54 right side. Check connecting hose (q) & air chamber (p) to both sides if fine, check for leaks see attachment. No leaks I suggest replacing both rear struts with aftermarket Arnott obtain Arnott replacement part #s and search to comparison shop: https://www.arnottindustries.com/
Hmm.. I got a wagon (t-model) with ADS airmatic.. There is a strut + "airbag" so the part i need to change is the airspring and not the struts? i am really confused ??
The fult must be in the strut..i found this text..
Fault in component Y53y1 (Left rear solenoid valve 1) in assembly Y53 (left rear axle damping valve unit)Could be caused by faulty solenoid valve in the strut in which case the strut or strut's damping valve unit should be replaced.
If the error code comes in pair with second selenoid valve of the strut then the problem is very likely in the connection. Check the electronic connection between the strut and AIRmatic with ADS control module (N51).
