03 E500 Network failed after eis replacement
So I have my car at the dealership, for a stuck ignition switch. Csa calls says star shows eis is bad and I require two keys as well. So I go forth with the job 1700 at that. I get a call today and he says we were able to get key to position 2 but the network is failed and won't energize. So shop forman and two other head techs get to looking under the carpet and find signs of water being present at some point. Honestly not surprising but they pretty much said well we don't know what it could be but you need an entire body harness. Thing is my issue happened over night. And what's even more strange is I had no electrical issues aside from heated seats not functioning. But now the interior door locks do not work. And car will not start. I litteraly just bought it not 2 weeks ago and am not ready to throw in the towel. Does anyone have any type of insight for me? Any and all is greatly appreciated.

I believe I highly agree with you. I'm going to get the car home and take a look for my self and scan the car with a icarsoft mb2 and see wtf is really going on. They were super vague about stuff and that really worries me. Especially from a damn stealership. Then after that take to another Merc shop. Right now it's a 6k paper weight.

Contact https://www.mbcluster.com I think this is the one specialist that could help you out with this problem. He understands the electronics on these cars much better than the dealer. Dealer service dept are just glorified parts replacers. If they don't find a trouble code they give up.

Check out his other videos too. The work he does is really impressive.
