2005 E320 Sliding manual Sunroof cover will not move

Searched around here and found lots of info about the actual sunroof and issues opening/closing, but not much about this particular problem. The manual sunroof sliding cover will not budge, am I missing a lock/latch/switch or something that is preventing it from moving?? Sunroof will flip up and down with cover still in place fine. I don't want to force anything if something is wrong. I can't imagine what could have broken for such a simple sliding cover to malfunction or break resulting in it being stuck, the car is in flawless condition otherwise.

Revisit attachment originally posted wrong sheet. With roof open see if you can manipulate now having a better understanding of assembly.

I had a similar problem, and the problem was in the indoor overhead console due to a waterleak. I had to replace the unit (from Ebay), and after that my sunroof is working fine.

What was the actual "problem" that caused you to replace the unit and led to the slider unable to be opened? Water that caused what damage?? I'm still confused because there aren't any mechanical parts on the slider that I am aware of. The sunroof of course has plenty, but it isn't like the slider is power operated or has anything mechanical that could break preventing it from opening. Thanks.

My problem started when i couldn`t slide ithe sunroof back, only the tilt-position worked. Then, after a while, the sunroof tilt whitout me doning anything, of course on a rainy day. Had to take out the fuse in the trunk (a white 25A), and then close it with manual handforce. When i took out the indoor head unit and dismanteled it, i saw some irr on the print plate. this i was explained, was because of water.

The problem by taking out the fuse is that the overhead console have a lot of functions, such as rainsensor, interior light, automatic blending og indoor mirror, day/night lightning. Buying a new one was not an option, in Norway the price for a new one is about $900 + labour.

Hope this answer gives any meaning, my english isnt fluent....
