Check Engine Light - 187 Miles
I crossed over 187 miles this weekend and then my check engine light came on and stayed on. I checked the gas cap but this is not the problem. Has anyone else had this problem just out of curiosity?

someone mentioned in another thread something about Teleaid not receiving their first set-up call. I thought this was connected with either engine light or malfunction showing in instrument display. Maybe someone else can be more helpful.

I had the car in for service today and I really liked the service staff. Very friendly and I think they appreciated the fact that I was very calm and understanding about my one week old $60,000 needing service already. They thought it was an air pump for the airmatic. They said they replaced it and some code. No light anymore at least...
Just an FYI in case any of you run into it...

Thanks for passing it along. Maybe MB should drive these babies for a couple of hundred miles and see what goes wrong before they deleiver them. Works for me.

Oh-OH. My 2003 had the same symptoms days after leaving the lot new. It took two visits and a combined 5 days in the shop. I recall it ended up being a software upgrade or calibration. It was a year ago so I don't recall the specifics. The good news is it has never happened again!
