My headlights turn off if stopped for too long
Hello,
I've honestly never come across this on any car before. I have a 2004 E500. This only happens when i have the headlights set to AUTO. If my car is stopped for too long (either car is in park or in drive but just stopped) then the headlights turn off. Once I start driving again they turn on again by themselves.
So for example, say it's nighttime and im in a mcdonalds drivethru. The lineup is long and slow so my car isnt moving, still in drive, but my foot is on the brake pedal. After x amount of time my xenon headlights will turn off until the car starts moving again.
Is this a normal feature? Is there a setting in SDS to disable this feature(if it even is a feature)?
