EGR Valve or something else causing RPM drop?
Recently when I coast to or pull to a stop slowly at a red light, occasionally (1 or 2 out of 10 times) the RPMs drop once the car is at a stop, the car never stalls, but when I feel it I put it in neutral and pump the accelerator afraid that it might stall. The 1st or 2nd pump of the accelerator the car/RPMs do not respond but on the 3rd the RPMs jump and the car idles normally until we drive away. As I mentioned, 9 times out of 10 there are no issues.
I scanned and there are no codes, the air intake doesn't have any visible cracks and no warning lights come on. There is no smell of fuel and the car idles smoothly and runs smoothly. To this point it's only been a drop in RPMs but no stalls.
My first thought was the EGR Valve. Any thoughts to what else it could and/or what I should check out?
Thanks in advance for your help.
