Code P1200 and P1208

Hey guys i’m new to the forum but I always come by to check updates and DIYs for my 2007 E350 4Matic (173k miles)
After having the check engine light telling me my Camshaft Position Sensor was bad I replaced it and other 2 codes came up, P1200 and P1208. However, the check engine light comes and goes and that’s very annoying since i’m planning to sell my car soon and I’m not sure what to do. Is the chain actually going bad or it’s just an ECU error? I tried to clear the codes but it comes back and then the engine light lights then turns off for a few days. Any suggestions on what I need to do? And how much would it cost to get it repaired?
Thanks a lot.

Is your vin number inside the affected range? If it is, your balance shaft has very likely failed.

Your engine number 272972 30 571216 falls OUTSIDE the bad balance shaft range.

i have a 2011 e350 throwing the P0016 DTC1208 code also. Did you ever figure out what your problem was. I replaced all magnetic solenoids and all cam sensors. Any ideas.
