Here's a new one: volume changes when light changes..
Been a problem from begining, hard to figure out what was going on. Finally, I noticed a correlation. Almost everytime either my auto headlights come on or off, or the COMAND colors change, my volume would either increase or decrease. Notice the most every morning when I back out of my garage.. WTF?? How many wires are crossed in this car?? Thank god it wasnt crossed with the gas or elec. brakes!!
Although minor, these problems are getting annoying (random seat movements, or no drive dynamic). But, at the end of the day, I still love the car. Typical relationship I guess.

could be the auto volume control. It adjusts for higher volume when you start moving cuz of the road noise or something like that. I notice that happens in our W220 with the windows down. It'll auto up the volume to compensate for the noise so that the passengers can hear the radio/cd.

...that the volume is different when he is at a traffic light or driving. I think pretty much all MB's have this feature to compensate for ambient noise, as mentioned earlier. Some have also a ambience microphone that picks up sound from inside the car and compensats for that too, rather than just using speed as a reference. That's why it is such a hassle to for instance, install an extra subwoofer in a BOSE equiped W203.
