W211 Camshaft codes

Hello everyone , i have W211 2008 ( E350 ) and my engine light came on , now i have 215000 km done , and i checked it with mechanic and the test gave 3 codes :

1. (1208) / Constant adjustment of intake camshaft of right cylinder bank in direction 'Retarded' (P0016).
2. (1200) / Constant adjustment of exhaust camshaft of right cylinder bank in direction 'Advanced' (P0017).
3. (0502) / Component A16/1 (knock sensor 1 , right ) has a short circuit to ground (P0327).

if anyone can help and advise regarding this matter i would really appreciate it .

i also check the MB effected range of the engines , and mine was not one of the effected.

( The car runs fine , but am afraid that it would suddenly stop or have problems )

Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure what recall you're referring to, but if you're getting those error codes, normally you just replace the sensors and use the OEM MB parts.

I saw that the cam shaft balancer had issues in older Benz. I did change the sensor and the magnets.

I can’t spend that on a car worth 9k. I’m just sell her. Sad day today!

Did you use OEM parts or aftermarket? Did you clear the codes afterwards?

You can also inspect it to see if it's really the balance shaft. They had that fixed by 2007 so it's very strange if it is the balance shaft. Even if it is the balance shafts, people report driving several thousand miles before it eventually doesn't start. I would take it to a good indy or the dealer for a definitive diagnosis.

Yea i used oem everything. I did clear it after and after two drive cycles it turned back on. Yea the balance shaft seems weird cuz the engine isn’t shaking or anything. I do plan on taking it to the indy and get it diagnosed

Clean up/Polish up & Maintenance weekend- I found this little gem hiding.. Never threw a CEL not sure when it occurred. I cleared it and it hasn't come back,... yet.
