Install Leather Door Inserts on Standard Interior?
After looking at both the standard and full leather interiors on an E320, the sole difference in appearance is gathered upholstery on the door panels. Does anyone know whether these can be installed in the doors of a standard vehicle interior or is a full door panel required?
Frankly, the MB Tex on the seats looks pretty good. But on the door panels, well that's a different story.

The MB Tex LOOKS virtually identical. It doesn't FEEL identical though.
I wouldn't bother. The tuffed door insert reduces elbow room significantly IMHO. And the armrest is also leather. By the time you changed both you'd be better off ordering the full leather.
No if someone wanted to reupholster the interior in a higher grade leather...
