Value of 2004 E320

Hi,

I have a 2004 E320 that was my grandmother’s car, with about 90,000 miles. I drove it for about a year until it started having problems. I’m thinking of selling it because I have neither the time nor the money to fix it (read below for the problems it has). I’m wondering what people here think the value of it might be.

First of all, it was technically totaled in a t-bone car accident, but my grandmother refused to let the insurance company total it, so it was repaired at a Benz shop. After I took it over from my grandmother, the SBC started to have problems, and now it no longer works (which seems to be preventing the car from driving out of first gear, a safety feature I guess). The ESP module also has problems. Also, I had the battery replaced at a battery shop, and they reversed the poles initially, which of course cooked some of the electronics (the rear SAM was replaced at their expense). All the other parts seem to work (radio, power seats, etc). It’s in generally good condition. What do people here think it might be worth?

Thanks!

Well... I wish you luck.
Consider parting it.

I kind of thought that’s about the best I could do, but again, not sure I want to take the time to part it out. Is it even worth maybe $1,000-$1,500 to sell to someone who would want to part it out?

I recommend washing it up, insert a for sale sign to drew attention, if your a social media person use that platform word of mouth goes far, and list it to start 5-6K. Ensure you let buyers know the issues (some sellers won't) but honesty is real, and take the best deal you think will be best. Don't short yourself for being lazy! GL

MB’s of all kinds.
Clean it up nice. Put it on Craigslist for like $3,000 and see what you get.

If you're in the U.S., the SBC has a 25 year/unlimited mileage warranty,

I bought an absolutely pristine 109k version with full dealer records since it was new for $4200 last September. The car isn't worth much considering it's history. OP if you start parting out and have a tan interior let me know, have a few dumb parts on mine I want to replace for cheap that are slightly worn. (also 1 wheel that is scraped, black trim molding around mercedes door sill plate)
