Airmatic Compressor Troubleshooting

2005 E500 Wagon. I had a right rear leaky airbag so I replaced both rear bags with Arnotts. A couple days later the visit workshop warning came on but I wasn't sure why since it's been over a week and suspension height has been staying steady. No leaks. Out of curiosity, I pressed the raise suspension button nothing happens. Compressor does not engage. So I just replaced the compressor, relay, and 40 amp fuse but it didn't help. Compressor still won't engage and still getting warning.

So, what should I look at next?

Bought an icarsoft MBII Scanner. It detected an open circuit at the right rear strut. Took a look and found a frayed wire. Not too bummed about replacing the compressor though...it was pretty loud and probably on its way out. Filter was dirty too. It seems to be working fine now and compressor is a lot quieter.
