I tried this with the flush hood emblem. I didn’t hate the look, but the replacement grill was so cheaply made I went back to my original.

I did this a couple years ago. I was able to return the grill fortunately.

Excellent move on returning to stock. IMHO this model doesn't look good at all with that type of grill. Our CLK had it from the factory like that it and flowed. But on the w211 it just sticks out and fitment looks horrible to me.

Different strokes for different folks but it just really cheapens the front end in my eye.

Thanks for the feedback guys! I decided to put the original grill back on along with the star emblem on the hood.
