Have an 02 avantgarde..disc suddenly stopped loading & it doesn't eject the disc anymore,. You just hear the mechanism working but nothing is happening. Can you guys help me with what the problem is? Btw, does it play mp3s'? Was suppose to try it but the changer jammed. Thanks

If you're talking about a multi disk player; Many things can go wrong. The internal grease gets hard, plastic gears get stripped...etc... Try pressing the eject button and firmly tapping the cassette with a screw driver handle (or object of your choice). Head unit single players can be ejected via Star Diagnostics. Other wise it's take em apart. BTW home burned disks can be a problem.

Your car is a 2003, not a 2002. You're just going to confuse people by saying you have a 2002 W211. The 2002 model year was still the W210. Blah, blah, blah you're in Europe and ****'s different there. Doesn't matter.

@Wyld Stallyn My multi disk player wasn't working either, but I really don't listen to CD's anymore. I removed multi disc playwer and added a "Mr 12 Volt" bluetooth adapter for streaming music from my mobile phone and also phone calls; for more info see this thread (credit to @Pmarino) which has info on the Bluetooth option as well as instructional info on removing the multi disk player.

If you really want to keep the multi disk player functionality, there are several used multi disk players listed on ebay (search "w211 CD changer"). You may not get a good unit buying on ebay, and not sure if they will ship to your location, but might be worth checking out? Also, removing it is pretty straight forward per the instructions in the bluetooth thread above, however I don't know if it requires any programming or coding if you are replacing with a used one, but I would assume it is a simply plug and play swap.
