03 E320 brake job, what do I do about the SBC?
I need to change the rear rotors and pads on my 03 E320 and am unsure what to do about the SBC when I push the pucks back in the calipers.
Do I disconnect something electronically? The batteries perhaps? I do not have access to Star or any scanning or reset devices. Any advice would be welcome.
thanks
pete

You can disconnect the SBC plug under the hood for added safety in addition to locking the car doors before starting work.https://www.pelicanparts.com/techart...eplacement.htm

Leave the key in the car and don't open the door. You can push the brake piston back using whatever method you choose. Nothing else that needs to be done with SBC, or electronically. Rotor may be stuck to the hub, might need a good whack with a hammer to break it free. After cleaning the hub face, use lots of anti seize on the hub to make it easier the next time you replace the rotor.

SBC plug have been subject to recall and I hesitated to touch weak point.
Pushing towing button, locking the doors and putting remote in safe place always worked fine for me.
I also don't like idea of pushing contaminated fluid from pistons into car hydraulics, so I open bleeder and push the fluid outside, refilling the reservoir once I am done with brakes.
