E200 Kompressor - Fuel Economy

What fuel economy do you get from your E200 Kompressor, with the M271 Engine

I'm averaging between 13-15l/100km
Honestly don't feel like that is what the car should be delivering, but I'm not getting any error codes from my scanner (Delphi ds150e)

Am I expecting too much from this car or are my concerns valid ?

You should be getting much better MPG. At least 10-11/100km

How many miles are on your car?

You may look into getting a tune up.

I,e, replace air filter, spark plugs, MAP sensor, 02 sensors, fuel filter etc.

I would check for exhaust leaks(ticking noise), vacuum leaks, etc.

See if your scanner will check fuel trim

I got :
Normal drive in city 12-12.5l/100 km
Out of town on highway with speed 110-120 km/hr ---> 7.5l/100 km
Super heavy traffic jam ----> 25l/100 km

It's a 2006 (Facelift), 168 000km's on the clock

I havent had a chance to check out absolutely everything thoroughly, one thing that has caught my attention so far is I did have a look at the fuel trim and from what I understand it looks well outside of what is considered to be reasonable

If I look at other M271 engine mercedes I see much more appropriate fuel economy

When I was checking the fuel trim, I had the car idling for 10 minutes and the fuel economy went through the roof

w204 c200 k
Hi,
I have a w204 C200 Kompressor, so lesser in weight but same engine. The fuel average I receive is 15-17L/100 kms.
What can be done to improve? The gearshifts for all gears happen at 2000 rpm. Is this normal ?
This is with a light foot sedate driving
