Black. Or white for bling.

I KNOW I've seen a CL style grille that had no emblem.. I wish I could find the pic. I think it was on a silver SL, from wheel experts??

Also - this grille

looks 10 times better than this cheap looking one..

no offense, IMHO.

Thanks for your opinion, Brav.

Any thoughts on where to get a white grille?

I have only seen black and silver, you may have to ask around for white.

Try for my mercedes and search for some others.

Lionhead,

Where did you get the Tectite Grey CL grill? I'd rather not go with the Schatz style chrome grill. Thanks.

Lionhead, I just got my black cl grill. Did you or the paint shop remove the chrome strips prior to painting or did they tape over them and paint? A couple paint shops I've been to don't want to paint it b/c they think they think (1) the chrome strips may brake during removal; (2) the paint may flake off easily since the grill is made of plastic. I'm going to try a couple more paint shops and may just leave it black. Thanks.

Esq500...the shop just put tape over the chrome strips and the center emblem before paint. It's been over a month now and I just checked the grill and there is no paint chips or peeling. Here is a pic the day I picked up the grill before I installed it.

Grill

Looks really great. It immediately reminded me of my 89 560 SL. Exactly where did you purchase it? Cost? Do you have a link? Thanks. Jimbo

I received my sports grill in black (like the one LIONHEAD has). My 211 is a bordeau red color. Here is the question - I plan on painting the top bar red, should I paint all the other bars red or not? I am really confused. Thanks all!!!
