passenger door lock does not lock

passenger door lock does not lock
hello..
my wifes '04 E500 4matic wagon passenger door lock doesn't.. lock that is..when it is supposed to lock it just rattles like it is trying but can't quite succeed..
the other doors DO lock..
anyone have any ideas..?

It sounds like the spring is broke and you need a new door actuator.
