Does 2006 W211 have OIL quality and level sensors?rs
I have heard various opinions, but nothing definitive.
Now I am consulting the Oracle....
Thanks.

Couple of times I change the oil without resetting FSS and 100 miles later the system still wanted me to change the oil, so my conclusion is that FSS is more of computer program that adjust the interval base on mileage and driving style, not on oil quality.
I had the same 320 engine in sedans and ML class.
ML run on dino oils for few years and being much bigger vehicle was also used for towing 6000 lb trailers. Still dino, synthetics, towing or not, FSS was giving the same 13k miles intervals.
Than all the MB cars models past 1986 had level sensor. On some I could read oil level on dashboard and some did not have dipsticks, but lately MB abounded the feature and dipsticks are back as the only way owner can check the level.
Lastly, when there is nothing in manuals, MB dispicks have oring on top of them and they can hold the vacuum.
So when you shut off hot engine, cooling air wll suck some oil up the tube and show incorrect level on proper morning check.
When I want to check the level precisely, at the end of the day I open the hood in garage and pull the dipstick 2 cm up, leaving it overnight. Than following morning I push the dipstick all the way in and pull for precision readout.
