The differences opposite a e-class with AMG styling package are the changed tail apron with one black lattice, as well as 4 final pipes. The interior will set off still more clearly against it from the other disgust-eaten (AMG Tacho, steering wheel circuit, other leather).

I luv quad tips
Seems like the AMG styling for the E55 will be slightly different to the sports package option

If hope it will be feasible to retrofit W210 E55's with the new W211 AMG kompressor and be half the cost of the Kleemann kompressor. $18k plus install and limited warranty for the Kleemann is ridiculous! The new AMG kompressor should drive the price of the Kleemann down.
I am pretty sure you can install the new kompressor on the previous model E55. A dealer here in Illinois (Isringhausen) had a 2002 e55 kompressor for $130,000. I called to ask him if it was Kleemann , but he said it was factory MB kompressor with 476hp, with the same factory warranty, and all repairs can be done at your local MB dealer. The car I believe is gone now, but he has a S55 kompressor that produces 476hp.
I am thinking about buying a the new E55 and wait a few years, or purchase a 2002 E55(hopefully get a good deal)and install the kompressor.

It wont drive the price down- this is not a market driven pricing schedule. It is based purely on cost of goods to produce. If you think that the new W211 with AMG kompressor wont be SIGNIFICANTLY more $$ than previous AMG models you hope for too much.
Isnt it strange that AMG makes only 476hp with 12 psi and KLEEMANN makes 550 with only 7.3 psi?? Sort of makes you wonder whats gone wrong with the AMG kompressor doesnt it?
$18K for 550 hp is ridiculos?!?! Ill tell you whats ridiculous, $32K for 410hp, now thats insane.

KLEEMANN, you stated:
Mercedes is holding the line on price increases and the W211 E55 'will not' be substantially more. Hell, the 1994 E500 was $80k and the 2000 E55 was $69k. The supercharged 2003 Jaguar S-Type R will base at $61,775 and 400hp. I bet you a kompressor that the base price on the 2004 E55 will be in the $75k ballpark or lower! Competition is driving the new car market and if Kleemann wants to sell kompressors they 'must' lower their price.
No SL55 or 2004+ E55 owners are going to swap an AMG for a Kleemann unit, so the biggest market for your kompressor will be the older chassis after the warranty expires. You have seen it over and over on this board - complaints about the costly Kleemann upgrade. Kleemann is not the first forced induction company - can you say Mosselmann. HEY! Anyone on this board have a Mosselmann installed? - NO!
Owners are also reluctant to drive/take their cars cross country to one of the very few installation shops. If I need service do I tow my car to New York or Altanta for service? - Yeah Right! Get Real - lower the price of the kompressors or keep them. They look really good sitting on the shelf gathering dust.
Very few people want to totally void their warranty just for bragging rights.

Hmm-
Where I appriciate the lesson in supply and demand economics, competitive pricing and the like, Im pretty sure I dont need it.
In any event I have this to say:
This board and its memebers represent a segment of the MBZ market, not its entirety. If the memebers of this board have issues with the price so be it. The issues at hand with the price are economies of scale. We do not build 10,000 kompressors a year, if we did the price could change. Just as if any of the other tuners build 10,000 displacement engines the price of those could change too.
The base price of a E55 may very well be $75K- but like any other first release AMG model you better be in line right now with $$ in your fist of you will play the "premium" price game.
The idea behind our dealers is to reduce liability with installations. If we let just anyone install something as major as a kompressor system can you imagine the problems? One or two bad installs and suddenly no one wants to hear about it anymore. Standard service can be carried out by your dealer or who ever you choose.
When we began in the USA I knew we would face challenges with name recognition, track record, warranties etc. We offer the same warranty as virtually every other tuner in the world. We also have supplimental warranties that will take up what MBZ doesnt cover. You do not totally void the warranty- its that simple.
"Get real" whats that all about? I am real- we build the best kompressor systems, period. You get what you pay for- have you even seen one of our systems?
You cant be all things to all people- I can live with that. Your opinions have merit and you are entitled to them and have the right to voice them anywhere you please. Fortunately for me you do not represent every MBZ owner.
