Cluster completely dead, help please!

Hello,

I'm Diego and I'm from Spain. First at all, excuse my English.

I have had a problem with the cluster of my w211 of 2002 year.

It is completely dead, nothing works.. neither the watch..

Also the lights come on when I start the engine automatically and I can't turn off these.

I have checked the fuses, and I have charged the batteries too (the main one and the auxiliary one).

Since I changed the batteries, the lights doesn't turn off when I stop the engine...

Also I have seen that the lights of the bottoms of audio 20 neither working, and neither the ESP bottom.

Have anybody idea of what problem has my mb? I am really worried.

Thanks and excuse again my English.

You can pull cluster and inspect internal ribbon cables/connections & circuit boards for possible cleaning and/or solder repair. All visually fine, consider replacing with used cluster. To transfer current data and mileage you will need to swap center board as shown. Unfortunately, if it the current center board is faulty you will need Xentry to transfer data to replacement cluster used or new. Need VIN if you want compatible cluster part #s to shop.

I had a cluster go completely dead when it was out in the dead of winter , record breaking cold. It ended up coming back to life within a few days. It got down to -40*F

In the meantime I also read up on replacement and actually already had a replacement cluster ready luckily did not have to use it. they can be found second hand on ebay for cheap.
