Help !! Need a part number, pics included.

I have a 2003 e500 and changing the grill to a newer e63 style. I see that the adjustable bolt with the rubber tip that keeps the grill from bumping with the front on the engine area is a bit short. I'm thinking a newer style bolt from a 2007-2008- or 2009 might be a bit longer? My current bolt is about 3/4 inch too short now, so the grill is kind of floating around and flapping against the engine area. I'm looking to see if there is a newer, longer bolt, or any other ideas since its about 3/4 inch too short. Thanks in advance!!!

In EPC it's called a "hood stop/bumper" - in theory, the ones on the hood rails and the ones on the front grille support should be the same part.

P/N is 201 988 05 11. Call your dealer and see if they can get them, then see if they will work length-wise... the part does not look too terribly expensive and is certainly worth a shot.
VIN used was a facelift model.. E63

My W211 facelift does have some flex when you push the lower section of the grille inward, so this could possibly be normal? Can check and push on another one tomorrow to confirm.

Hi and thanks for the info. I checked the part number and it look the same as mine. I also did check the ones that support the hood, and they do look the same as far as length, but those that support the hood have a bigger piece of rubber on top. I don't like that grill just hanging there and flapping all over the place. I know will eventually break off the tabs supporting it. I know that the bolts on the original grill held it pretty well, and firmly as support, where there wasn't that play and loose movement. I might have to invent something here...LOL THANKS AGIAN!!!
