Hello,I am having a bit of an headache, over the last few weeks I have experienced overnight that my w211 e class lowers to the ground, on the rear right side.The rear left also lowers but not to the ground,the mechanics told me that it's probably only the right side that is leaking,and that is the cause of the left side also going a bit lower,than usual,now I don't know what to do should I replace only one airbag or both rear ones?I have measured that the right rear drops completely to the ground, and the left side drops down over the first night(just like the right one),and then for the next few days left side stays like that,without going completely to the ground(higher than the right one).Any advice will be helpful thank you.
Check for leaks, no leaks bellows or internal valve may be faulty requiring replacement. Note, if replacement is needed and vehicle is 50,000 miles > I would suggest replacing both sides - shop aftermarket Arnott.
Again, check for leaks @ right strut at all air line connections spraying soapy water. No leaks, inspect condition of bellows if all seems fine internals are gone and need to replace strut.
Common experience is that MB bags last about 10 years, so if yours are about that age - just replace them both.
Right now you are killing the compressor with the overtime work.
no, you need to diagnose your leaks, but as already said you are probably looking at new airbags all around
yeah i already bought the rear ones i will not replace the front ones since the right one only falls 10-20mm depends on surface and will stay there without falling any further so maybe it has a slow leak or maybe it has bad level sensor ..
