Om642 timing chain question
Hi everyone,
Even uploaded this thread to the w164 forum, but since w211 has more participants and the same engine is used, have been wondering lately whether there is any timing chain noise on my vehicle equipped with the OM642 diesel engine? Vehicle has 213k km and no record of whether the timing chain was changed or not. The vehicle was not started for two days. Your opinion is greatly appreciated.
