2005 220cdi w211 instrument cluster
hello
I have a 2005 w211 220CDI
last night I saw a strange yellow light like a tiny glowing spark moving around the cluster, sometimes on the bottom part sometimes on the other positions, it was very strange, seems like a short circuit of leds or something similar, do you know something similar ?
maybe it was the first step of a burning led backlight ?!

It means your IC has voltage problems faulty capacitor or rectifier if it flickers or does not power up. When it is very cold it is normal as the clock and the speedometer is demanding more amps and the voltage drops because the rectifiers reaches the capacity rating.
