Never got my registration!
My registration expires in 5 days and I still have the temp one that was given to me when I bought the car? Why hasn't my real registration come in yet and how do I go about getting it??

What state do you live in? (add it to your profile). If your dealer handled the registration paperwork for you, they are the 1st place to call. They all use a registration service to do the job. your stuff may have never left the dealership, or could be sitting on the service's desk, because someone forgot to mail it to you.
(In PA where my NY car reg was handled by the dealer for me, after the car was registered, THEY got the reggie & then mailed it to me FedEx. In NY when I had a dealer handle it on another car, the reg was also sent to the dealer to me mailed to me.
Depends on what state youre in. But call the dealer/salesman 1st. There's NOTHING you can do. You don't have the "certificate of origin" or any of the vehicle's birth certificates/paperwork.

For me in Texas, it was down to the wire. The temps expired on Saturday, but the dealership did not get my registration until the Thursday before.
You should inform your dealership about the imminent expiration of your temporary registration. They should be able find out what the holdup is and/or issue you new temporary plates so you can stay legal.
