I got this one for $1000 with 209k on the clock. Didn’t have an ECU so I got one and got it running! But the brakes are locked up with the following faults; ASR, ESP, speed sensor malfunction, glow plug heater module control, lost communication with vehicle dynamic control module. You can see from the pic that a mouse has chewed into the wiring harness under the rear seat. I’m pretty sure replacing the wiring harness or repairing it will resolve some of these but anybody got an idea where to look at the glow plug heater module control?
My '05 E320 module failed about 200,000 miles. It's a one bolt to the manifold and one electrical clip to the harness BUT it is a bear to get at and took me hours to replace. Not to scare you but on top of the engine it would be a five minute job.
