shifter interchange?

Hello! I have a 2005 E500 4matic wagon that needs new/used shifter (ESM/electronic selector lever module). Its intermittent and scan indicates its defective. Installed unit is 211 267 29 24 (confirmed by my EPC) . I've had it apart, checked for typical Benz solder joint issues or water/coffee/soda damage, found nothing. As my ECP is a bit dated, is there a newer part number that supersedes what I have? Haven't located anyone who reconditions (BBA said no) other than in the UK so its going to be a used unit. Hundreds on ebay but only one with the existing part number priced over double of the rest. Please help if you can. Thanks!

Konigstiger thanks for the link. I have a 2112676324 from ebay is on its way to me. If the first numbers on the line below the part number are date code, then it was manufactured in 2018 (pictures of other units show 03 thru 09). I'll update when installed.

New shifter received, installed, no codes, set to go. Well maybe.... The new part operating lever that connects to the shift rod is straight, allowed rubbing on the flex disc. Removed, transfered electronics to my old unit, reinstalled old unit with offset lever (about an inch). All is well.
