Early E500
Hi all,
After selling all my E class cars (350, 500 and 55), to help facilitate a move to Australia to live, which lasted 6 weeks, due to the Covid-19 issue, I find myself back in New Zealand and on the hunt for a ‘nice’ car.
I was looking at a 2007 E550 and a 2009 E500 coupe as possible contenders.
I have since stumbled across a black 2003 E500, which was new here in New Zealand.
It has travelled 168,000 odd kilometres and is loaded with goodies I have never seen before in a NZ spec car of that age for a W211.
Keyless start, dynamic seats, heated and cooled seats, thru load capability (60/40 split).
The car has had two owners.
I hear so many stories of people saying stay away from the 2003 models. Radiator problems etc.
This car is exceptionally tidy, and I am booked to take it for a test drive, then the E550 coupe!
I love the look of the coupe, and the W212 style of interior, I think, is stunning.
But I do prefer the rounder lines of the W211.
Pity I can’t put an interior from a W212 style into a W211!
Anyway, I shall let everyone know my thoughts on the W211.
It is such a stunning car.
