2009 E350
Major Issue with 2009 E350
My 2009 E350 has had a major issue that I cannot seem to diagnose. The key will not lock or unlock the doors, nor turn the ignition. I have had the key tested, battery tested, checked all fuses and still cannot seem to find any resolve so i was hoping I could find some help here.

Did you try the second key? If you just have one, normally the dealer will make you buy the 2nd key and see if you have the same problem. If you do, then it's usually an EIS problem. Otherwise, half the time it's a bad key. You can also send the EIS out to be rebuilt, cheaper than the dealer but you do have to take the thing apart to mail it.

Err, have you had your car battery checked if it was dead or bad battery??? Since you mention you said you could not turn the ignition. so good chance your car battery is dead or bad. Most overlooked item and very simplified than trying to overthink the problem.
