2004 e500 sedan a/c problems

well a/c worked well since I had the car 75k miles on the clock now... ac blows hot air there was some point when it blew warm air for a lil then it kicked in and blew great cold air.... now I turn it on and the condenser fan motor under hood roars spinning really fast. inside cabin fan works. Put manifold gauges on the low side and reads 100psi when i turn ac on it goes down like only 5 to 10 psi like 95 or 90 psi what the heck could it be is something restricted or am I **** out of luck and need new compressor. Help greatly appreciated thank you

Most likely you will need a new A/C compressor.

the funny thing is now it was a little cooler out this morning while driving to work and the a/c was blowing cold air. dont understand can it be a sensor or something preventing it from turning on when its hot outside?

Have you checked the refrigerant level??? Every time I deal with A/C complaints the first thing I do is recover, vacuum and recharge.

I really didn't want to start messing with the refrigerant but if needed be ill recover vaccum and weigh in the charge(have all equipment i do hvac) but seems weird that it is cooling very well and the problem seem intermittent its like when this car knows i need some a/c it say nope... thats why I was leaning toward a sensor/wiring or compressor... but thanks ill further investigate
