P0016

So I needed a little clarification on a problem I'm having with my 2007 Mercedes E350. I bought the vehicle cheap but I had a few problems, haven't had it long so I don't know the whole history. I fixed some codes already however I'm still getting the P0016 constant adjustment of intake camshaft of right cylinder Bank in Direction "retarded" and p2005 diagnosis of Tumblr flap "intake manifold" short or open circuit. Also the TCM has a c-141 no can message was received from control unit n73 or from control unit n93. 930e synchronization of DTC memory cannot be ensured. 912e ROM read error.

so far I replace the fuel pump and fuel module ( pzev, without replacing the whole fuel tank . Yes, I am a certified Master Tech with every tool there is, so please don't give me that you need to take it to a qualified technician. However I'm limited because I do not have a star Das. So my Modis does not do coding or reset the camshaft adaption / relearn. I replace the intake Runners with metal ones oh, the plastic ones were broken. Is still however needs a new vacuum sensor which I just received (it was physically broken ). Camshaft solenoids had a bunch of sludge in them, so I replaced all of them and the oil change. Then the spark plugs because I had misfires on cylinder 4 and 6.

so when I pulled out all the cam sensors to see if all the circles were centered, the one on the bank one exhaust was off. However when I took the front cylinder covers off, all the marks lined up every other time. The other times in between that the balancer was off by 5 degrees.

so is this normal? As far as it being off every other time, the camshaft line up all the time oh, it's just off by 5 degrees on the balancer every other time. Is it possible that the intake manifold issue could be related? And is it possible that intake manifold issue could be related to the p0016? Lastly, where do I start with the c-141? I only have one key and no star capabilities. Right now it only starts on the second crank. Which I assume is due to the vehicle getting the can bypassing signal or of course the valve timing(possibly balance shaft, have not looked up the engine code or vin yet. Other than slow acceleratoon it runs really good.

I just got Wis, however I cannot find how to diagnose the c-141. I also forgot to mention code 7284 check Codeing in control module n93 (Central Gateway control module) So any information or advice would be appreciated. Thanks

What's the VIN? Sounds like it's the balance shaft and early 2007 still had the problem, probably til sometime in the September 2006 production date. Normally you replace the intake manifold with the Pierburg one or get the reman one on eBay. The flaps eventually break off and cause engine damage even if you just replace the plastic rods. There's a very extensive thread on the balance shaft problem.
