W211 OM646 ac pipe leak

I drive a e220 cdi (om646) w211, pre-facelift (2006). Found out that ac gave only warm air, went to some chopshop, and they found a crack in the freon pipe (dont know if its the same word in english lol). It is right next to radiator, on a bend, needs to be welded. Because of the placement the pipe has to be removed.
Guys quoted me 60 euros for only the removal, (plus welding 50-100, new freon 60) in the end it gets to pretty decent cost. All and all, but im sure im not the only one having troubles due to corona pandemic, not willing to spend extra cash. So, i want to try and disassemble the pipe myself.
I worked on my interior many times, changed the wiring for speakers, speakers themselves, radio, trim etc etc. Long story short, i can disassemble stuff, but never tried it with the engine.
I was hoping someone here has the experience with it, or if there is a guide somewhere - it would be perfect!
