So I bought a 2005 E500 with a misfire and turns out the engine has no compression needs a new engine. I want to buy the engine but I would like to know if there's anything else extra I should be aware of, like reprogramming, things like this.

Any 5.0 or 5.4na m113 will drop in but you might have to swap the oil pan. I would go for a 5.4 na for the extra 70hp.
