Do you have any pictures of this plate? I don't remember there being anything between the strut and the strut tower in my car when I changed them. If it's a Mercedes part it should be stamped with a part number.

I don’t have a photo. I found a diagram that shows it but it doesn’t link up to a part number.
it’s part number 170 on the right side of the attached image.
