Do all e classes share body parts?

So I know this question is probably answered somewhere but do 2003-2006 e class models share the same parts as the e55 with the exception of the engine? Like headlights, taillights, sideskirts, doors, etc... I’ve never had an e class so I wouldn’t really know but I’m asking before I go and look for e55 body parts before knowing if they are compatible with one another

Only changes we're bumper and grill. It's all interchangable.

Only minor difference if you're mixing and matching bumpers between pre and post facelift cars is the mounts for the parking sensors if you have Parktronic. The design of the sensors changed in 2008 and the brackets are different. They can be adapted to work, though. I have a 2004 E55 rear bumper on my 2007, no problem at all aside from having to modify the parking sensor brackets.

thats really good to know, I’m looking for some headlights for my e55 and a grill and whatnot so I was hoping to see if there was a difference in the models. So far I think everything should work out

You'll want to check the plug configuration on headlamps. I believe 07-09 lamps will NOT be "plug and play" on you 06

Correct, the plug is different.

If you like the facelift style headlights with the updated chrome bezel inside, the chrome piece is not interchangeable - without some custom efforts - as they use different mount points An E55 user has done the swap, and re-pinned the plugs, but sounds like he had a bear of a time: https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/...ot-s-pics.html

Unless you already know the answer, always shop Mercedes parts by VIN number. All German brands will update parts at any point in the production. Most local dealers’ parts counters will answer questions like this over the phone.

I think the E55 and maybe the E63 has more aluminum body panels for weight savings. My bluetec might also be that way. Early 126 Diesels had aluminum hoods and boots, but the gassers did not. Would not be uncommon for mercedes to have differences like that.
