Problem with Cruise Control / Gears
HiI have a problem with cruise control on my Mercedes.
I can be in cruise control with no problems, I do alot of long journeys on the motorways so use it a lot. A problem that sometimes occurs is that when I disengage the cruise control to stop or approach a roundabout and then accelerate away afterwards, I find I can have my foot flat to the floor on the accelerator and it does not accelerate but rather rev as if it is stuck in Neutral or a gear not suitable for slower speeds.
If I pull over, turn the engine off and then on again the problem goes away. I have a suspicion its an electronic issue as this rest of the car seems to cure it every time. I wonder if anyone has any ideas as to what could be wrong please.
My mechanice seems to think there are no error codes that show up when he plugs it in and when the problem occurs on the road I am getting no errors on the dash at all.
