Potential Cost for 'B' Service

I have a 2008 E320 Bluetec with 119,000 miles and with no known problems. What is the potential cost for 'B' Service?

A "B" service is basically an oil change, brake fluid change, lubricate door/hood hinges and sunroof tracks, rotate tires if not staggered, and inspection.

Probably looking at ~$129 for the oil change, ~$129 for the brake fluid change, 0.25 hours to lubricate the doors and sunroof, some shops include an inspection as a courtesy (to try and find stuff to sell you).

Those are non-dealer prices? I imagine if you take it to the dealer, it would be much more. Throw in scare tactics to get you to agree to non-necessary expensive repairs.

Independently owned shop affiliated with a national chain.. Dealers can be a lot more, how much more depends on if it's an independently owned franchised dealership or an MB corporate owned store. My local dealership is independently owned and is price competitive with the better indie shops and domestic brand dealerships as far as labor goes. A car that old really doesn't belong at a dealership for routine maintenance, dealerships always mark up their scheduled services because that's their biggest profit center.

A - 1 hour
B - 2 hours
C - 3 hours
D - 4 hours
And so on. Search and you will find the service sheets and how to pull/confirm services via your central gateway.
