2007-2009 Sat/GPS antenna Retrofit
All,
I have an 05 that I am prepping to NTG2.5 retrofit which is well documented and I believe I have most things covered. Looking into the satellite radio aspect of the new SDAR, I need to get a satellite antenna on the car. What all parts/labor will be involved? I currently have nav on my NTG1 with the glass mounted antenna. I also am willing to do the trunk mount sat antenna, but really would prefer not to as my GPS antenna is bad to begin with.
I understand:
headliner needs to come down
I need to drill through my roof
I need to purchase the shark fin antenna
Will the wire under the glass reach the with the shark fin antenna where I can get rid of the glass mounted one? Do I need a cable to reach the SDAR to the antenna or is one already in the loom??What else am I missing/needing to prep?

Also, I am located in the states and am having a tough time finding the antenna double fakra splitter. Does anyone have the MB part number so I can try used parts yards in the US. I know I can purchase from Comand Online, I just don't want to deal with the 2-3 weeks it will take to arrive. Thanks.
