Putting in reverse while driving forward

I'll not test it on my car but I believe that electronic shift transmissions such as ours have provisions built in to prevent shifts in circumstances that the transmission knows would be detrimental to its health. I know this is true on my '05 Chevy Duramax; I did accidentally shift from reverse to forward a bit quickly once (the truck was still rolling in reverse) and the truck not only didn't shift into forward but also told me it wouldn't do so via the Driver's Information Center on the IP.
Edited to add: What is the fascination you have with messing with your car? Will your next post be "what happens when I drive into a concrete post at 60mph?"? Hint: Don't do it.

In my w212, you can move the shifter into R but the computer won’t do it similar to your Chevy. It is however implemented differently in w211 as you can see from the video.
