Hard steering
Hello, i have 2004 E 220CDI avantgarde without parametric steering (SA code 213 in vin).
IT have manual steering wheel position adjustment paddle. When i bought car it was some kind of stuck and i cant adjust wheel. One time i managed to get it work, "unstuck" paddle and adjusted wheel(stationary and with engine off). Then one time during drive it fell of again so i have to set wheel position during drive. Since then my steering is a lot of harder and sometimes i hear sounds coming from hood when i am turning at the edge, like rubbing. And sometimes creaking from the wheel itself. Do you have any ideas if adjusting wheel dfuring drive can make somethinkg like this? Power steering fluid is ok. Thanks for replies
