I have a 2005 E320 CDI ONLY HAS ABOUT 45000 miles but looks to be original hoses . Are there any common ones that fail ?I am thinking of replacing all of them unless told that they last forever, but way easier to do them in garage than on side of the road thanks.

Upper hoses usually fail first due to heat rising in the engine compartment baking the hose rubber. Has the car spent its life outdoors? Do you live in a hot climate? Has the coolant been flushed regularly?

My 2005 E320 CDI has 240k miles and has its original hoses which look new. However, it spends most of its parked life in a garage. I have flushed its coolant per MB recommendations (which changed the color twice). Yikes! It hasn’t even failed a water pump, thermostat, or coolant tank. I guess I’m overdue.
