Exclamation airmatic question

In a recent few days it got very cold from around 10c to -15c after a few days of sitting rear right side of the car was on the ground, but the front was risen all the way up,how is that possible? I know that it wasn't even close that high to that when I parked it..Now it is a bit warmer and the car stays level normally..

Could be bellows are failing visually inspect all four, but before replacing consider compressor rebuild with new desiccant to rid system of moisture given temperature related: https://www.benzworld.org/threads/ai...ccant.2411265/

Your car has a pneumatic reservoir.

Go here, download attachment, read and learn.

2010 E550 sport
I don’t know what you have, but I have a 2010 e550. When I first bought it the very next day the front passenger side was dropped. Each air strut is independent. You also have stabilizers that try to level the car. When I would start it up I’d get a warning the vehicle was to low. Then the compressor would lift it back up. And I was good to go. The used dealership I got it from tried to tell me this was normal with an older car. I wasn’t buying his BS. I found the best deal for these struts at rock auto. I decided to replace both front struts as I could see the plastic covers were shot on both. Luckily for me the dealership had left a letter addressed to the previous owner. He informed me he had just replaced the rears. I got each Arnott strut for about $530 which was a surprise as everyone I talked to said about $1200. When they came they looked much different than what I removed. Rock auto has 0 customer service. So I contacted Arnott and found out 2 things. 1 they were just redesigned for better longevity and 2 they will take the old ones back. Mine had a core of $115 each. The job was easy, it was the tools that became the problem. As you need E sockets. Then as o got through the job found out I needed an e wrench for one bolt. The only place to get the wrench was online. Had I listened to the used car guy I would have burnt up my compressor pretty fast. I hope this was helpful.

have had mine E320cdi since 2008. I experience the something similar every year, i get a airmatic errormessage, visit workshop. When the weather gets warmer, the message disappear. Think it could be something due to the volume of compressed cold air, but not sure.
