need help diagnosing problem

i have a 2008 e350 4matic and it doesnt start for some reason. Vehicle history: it was having a problem shifting and then went into limp mode, so i replaced the conductor plate and checked the solenoids. after i have done that, it worked well and limp mode was gone. then a battery problem arose. the battery was dying for some unknown reason. i charged the battery and then that went away and it no longer dies. and then this is where the starting problem arose. ive suspected its now my camshaft or crankshaft position sensors. i unplugged one of the camshaft position sensors and then attempted to start. it started! it never started again. so i suspected my fuel pump now and went to check the fuel pump and i do not hear it working. i replaced the fuel pump and made sure the relay was working and it still doesnt want to start. when i try to start the car, i dont hear the fuel pump but i do hear the relay clicking. i made sure all connections were good with the fuel pump system. and i dont know why i dont hear it. please help me guys! i want to sell this mercedes and buy a family car for my family. im tired of all these problems.

Get a scanner. Pull the codes. Save yourself.

Keep shotguning parts at it. Troubleshooting is for suckers.

Test for fuel pressure.
Test for a cam signal.
Test for a crank signal.
Use a scanner that can check ALL the systems on the car, not just OBD2.
Edited to add: If it went into limp mode there are codes present even if the fault is no longer there.
Edited to keep on adding: IIRC, your car won't start with the cam sensor disconnected. Are you SURE that's what you disconnected?
