Radio isn't responsive, buttons don't work but audio does with steering wheel control
Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with my 2003 E500. I bought the car sight unseen and when I was driving it home, I tried to fiddle with the radio and I wasn't getting any response from pressing the buttons. The screen turns on and shows me what station I'm on but I have to change it with my steering wheel. I can access the CD changer, change and listen to CDs but I can't change back to radio. Audio works just fine, I can turn the volume up and down. Power button and wheel is non-responsive.
Any ideas what it may be? I'm considering getting an Android Auto but that's a project for a few months down the line, I'd like to try and get the one it has working properly for now if I can. I do not have COMAND unit.
