Replacing the Lower Control unit on a 2003 E320

Hi everyone,
I am chasing down the electrical problems on my 2003 W211 E320 and I narrowed it down to to the lower control unit, which is the panel that open to expose the CD player.
I plan on buying a used one on ebay with the same part number.
Dow anyone of you know if I need to program the new unit? Or is is just plug it in?
